A couple of groups, SoCalMoms.com and Dad Meetups are having a FREE play day at Village Valley Park in North Hollywood. The March event is wellness themed and all about creating happy healthy families. There will be mini-soccer classes by GOLS soccer, a parent & me Zooga Yoga class, a talk by parenting expert, Marissa Gold of IntuitParenting on raising happy kids and a short music set from 1030am to 11am by the Beat Buds. Healthy snacks and raffle prizes too!

The Whaddup:
This time CicLAvia participants can bike (or stroll – this is the most walkable CicLAvia route!) through a snapshot of the city’s architectural evolution from Victorian vision to modernist experimentation; massive towers of business to intimate houses of worship; world class museums to working class mercados.
Get your bike, trike, skates, strollers, and sneakers ready for LA’s biggest block party. This route will connect One Wilshire in Downtown Los Angeles to Fairfax Avenue along Miracle Mile. Along the way you’ll find a variety of activities for people of all interests and ages, including music, performances, food trucks galore, and just about everything else L.A. has to offer.

Dodgers: Kids Run the Bases

Finally a reason for kids to stick around past the 7th inning stretch! Our Los Angeles Dodgers are taking on the San Francisco Giants today, and after the game, kids 14 and under can take the field and run the bases. Let your little one feel like a Dodger for a day. It’s also a promotion day, and today’s giveaway is a Kids’ Yasiel Puig Fathead. That’s a collectors item you don’t want to miss!

Children’s Earth Day at the Eco Station

Celebrate green (consciousness) with STAR Eco Station at California’s largest Children’s Earth Day. There will be live entertainment, eco themed games, food, crafts, prizes, vendors, face painting and more! You can also see what kids can do, in exciting and imaginative performances by over a thousand kids from the greater Los Angeles area.
It’s a great way for kids to commemorate green living, learn how the station saves the earth’s endangered animals, hear from celebrity guests and local leaders, and learn from environmental organizations.

And you thought April Fools Day was just for fun… Tricksters actually serve important roles across cultures. Whether named Prometheus, Coyote, or Esu, these rule breakers are bound to stir things up. Watch a magic performance by Wacko and explore your inner trickster, then learn riddles, tricks, and pranks to get your loved ones to giggle. Inspired by the current Fowler exhibition Sinful Saints and Saintly Sinners at the Margins of the Americas.
