H’Sao, a Montreal-based band originally from Chad, plays Afro-fusion music that draws from gospel, soul, R&B, reggae and Chadian music to deliver an unforgettable performance.
Be sure to take advantage of the fun, free workshops where kids explore the featured culture through unique art-making projects such as calligraphy, puppets, musical instruments, accordion books, textile projects and more.

The Kingdom Day Parade is a day of celebration that remembers the life and legacy of civil rights leader, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. King along with his wife, Coretta Scott King, who paved the way to establish equality, justice and social unity throughout this country.
The Los Angeles celebration is the largest parade in the country honoring the late Dr. King. There will be over 150 floats (more than the Rose Parade!) as well as marching bands, military units, dance groups and horses. After the parade you can join a day-long festival with music, dancing, delicious food and performances. This year’s theme is “Love and Respect: Let it Begin With Me.”
