Marina del Rey celebrates its 50th birthday with a Birthday Bash and the annual Marina Fest.

The festivities start Friday at 5pm, with a formal ceremony, tall ships mock battle, historic tours, fireworks, and a live outdoor concert by legendary rock band Three Dog Night.

Saturday’s launches with an 11am Boat Parade. Sunday features a Classic Car show.

Other highlights throughout the weekend include various Learn to Sail opportunities, pirates and mock battles among multiple tall ships, a live mermaid presentation, historical presentations, narrated Harbor tours & water taxis and more.
