Friday Night Jazz at LACMA

how much: Free
who: All Ages
the whaddup:
There’s a lot to like about LACMA… great art and a beautiful building… even more when you consider you can bring some hot chocolate for the kids (or the kid in you) and blankets and chairs, while you lounge on the grass and listen to jazz… each and every Friday from April 18th through the end of October. What’s better than jazz? Free jazz.
Bring the kids early to snag seats and give them room to run around Hancock Park, roll down hills, and explore before the concert. Check them before you stick them back in the car, the tar seeps through the grass and isn’t easy to get off upholstery.
The museum is free to all Los Angeles County residents after 5 p.m. on Fridays (and Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays).

In 1938 there was a flood that took 85 lives and caused millions in damages, and concrete channels were built to prevent that happening again. Today, efforts are underway to re-green the river, and you can help.
