The Jungle Book, at the El Capitan
when: Apr 15 – May 1 at Various times
where: El Capitan Theatre, 6838 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, Ca
cost: $15-$28
ages: Rated PG
the Whaddup:
The Jungle Book is an all-new live-action epic adventure about Mowgli, a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger Shere Khan, who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Baloo, Kaa and Louie are all here, but it’s a whole new splashy look for this gorgeous high tech picture.
My kids and I were invited to a screening of this at the AMC in Burbank, courtesy of Fandango! They loved it, the story is mostly the same but the action is 100% 2016! My little one, almost 5, was scared a few times and it made my ten year old jump, but John Favreu of Iron Man, Chef, and Swingers fame, did a great job taking this to the big screen, once again.
Before the movie, the Side Street Strutters Jazz Band (the guys you see at Disneyland®), perform classic Sherman Brothers music live on stage.
