The Brentwood Grand Prix
On August 3, 2014, the high-speed excitement of roadbicycle racing comes to the streets of Brentwood. The racing will be fast and exciting as they draw the best racers from all over the United States. The junior racers will again get a chance to showcase their skills on this great course, with five separate juniors categories.

There are also free Kids Races presented by Helen’s Cycles, so if you have children, bring them out to participate. You can enter online. Spectating is entirely free!
The Brentwood Grand Prix is held on a challenging one-mile course prized by racers and spectators alike for excitement and thrills as racers go all out to claim the coveted champions jersey awarded annually to select elite and masters categories, as well as a purse of over $9,000 or one of the many exciting primes. The Brentwood Grand Prix offers equal prize money for men and women in the Elite Championship races. The race, named in honor of the club’s founder, is put on annually by La Grange, not only the biggest but one of the oldest cycling clubs in California, and whose race teams carry on the club’s long and storied racing tradition.
This event is always fun to drag the kids to. My 8 year entered the kid’s race last year and had a good time and got a free t-shirt. Some people say it’s all about the t-shirt, I’m not one of those people!
