the Whaddup:
Do you miss your hipper-than-thou, avant-gard, artsy-fartsy pre-kid days? Or not. But if you do, re-live them, kids in tow, by taking part in the Family Sunday Studio at MOCA.
This month features Student Art Connection, where students from local schools in grades 3-12 present conversations and activities about artworks in the exhibition Don’t Look Back: The 1990s at MOCA. Attend a screening of Fallen Star: Finding Home, the new documentary film by artist Do Ho Suh, a story of collaboration and the ways that art can surprise you. Create a studio art project inspired by Suh’s work Seoul Home/L.A. Home…, a centerpiece of Don’t Look Back, in MOCA’s pop-up studio with MOCA educators and the MOCA teen apprentices.
