With spectacular views, splash pad, children’s play area, gallery, historic pool, and Marion Davies Guest House there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the Beach House, and is open for the season (weekends) starting Memorial Day Weekend.
Passes go on sale daily at 9:30 a.m. The pool is 4′ to 8′ deep, heated to 80-85 degrees and chlorinated. Towels and locks are not provided; bring your own.

A Country Fair in the Mountains: Topanga Days

This Memorial Day Weekend-long bash includes live music, a Kid’s Zone, Art Walk, local vendors, food and more. Take part in old fashioned games like sack races, a baby derby, a bat spinning relay, 3 legged races, pie eating contests, egg tosses, a water balloon way, watermelon seed spitting and other fun that takes you back… Plus tons of music ( Los Lobos on the main stage on Sunday, May 29, at 5:30 p.m. as well as Deb Ryder, Venice, Jungle Fire, Electra, Incendio, Massanga Marimba Band, Jewels and Johnny Nation, Avery Rose Band, Calico, Blame Sally, The Hipwaders, Fishtank Ensemble and Kummerspeck Das Bowie) and cap the weekend off with a parade Monday morning!

The Bayou Comes to Simi Valley

This is a full weekend of nonstop award-winning entertainment, more food choices than you can sample in two days, and activities to keep kids of all ages entertained!
The Cajun & Zydeco stage will feature international and award winning Cajun, Creole and Zydeco music acts like Booker T, Barabra Morrison, Leon Russell, Bayou Brothers, Reverend Tall Tree and more.
In addition, this family friendly event has a giant kids area featuring bouncers, rock walls, specialty acts, crafts and more. An all day pass for jumpers, slides and activities is $10 for 5 and under; $ 20 for 6 and above.

The Frog Spot Opens for Summer

Located along the breathtaking Elysian Valley bike path, the Frog Spot is Friends of the Los Angeles River’s summer gateway to the L.A. River. The Frog Spot serves as a community gathering space, launch pad for River tours and trips, and an exciting performance venue.
At the Frog Spot, visitors to the river can take a break for a poetry reading, take a yoga class, learn about the about the river’s history and ecology, enjoy a cup of coffee, or see live music on Saturday nights. And now it’s open again for the summer!

BIKE IN MOVIE FUNTIMES: SPACE PATROL (Biking + movies)

Agents of Happenings and Tren Way Cafe comes a night of adventure with a Bike In Movie night that features bicycling, parlor games, two-wheeled contests, DJs, craft coffee and beers. The night ends with a sci-fi themed movie screening at a secret location in Frogtown. The biking starts at 5 pm, with a meetup at the Mulholland Memorial Fountain (corner of Riverside Dr. and Los Feliz Blvd). Please bring a working bicycle with lights and a lock and blankets and yoga mats if you can ride with them. If you don’t feel like riding then meet up with the group at 6 pm at the secret location (the address will be released on Saturday). Cost $10 Bike-In (you’ll get a spoke card that gets you a discount) or $15 Walk-ins.
