SURFING: The Vans US Open of Surfing helps the city of Huntington Beach celebrate 100 years of surfing with a week featuring the world’s best surfing, skateboarding and BMX.
The event will showcase pro men’s and women’s surf competitions, the Vans Joel Tudor Duct Tape Invitational, and Van Doren Invitational Skate and BMX contests.
There are also family movie nights and art exhibitions scheduled throughout the week, too. This is a major SoCal happening, if you like water, go.

Follow along your favorite dance celebs on the performance lawn, then splash around in fountain dance party by Baby Loves Disco. Finally, shimmy across the street to The Music Center for salsa, hip-hop, lyrical, afro-cuban, and modern dance lessons.

Yee-haw! It’s time to don your hats and boots, hitch your wagon, and scoot on over to The Autry, which pays tribute to and celebrates the American cowboy and cowgirl. This daylong festival is all about celebrating the Wild West! Enjoy trick ropers, gun-slingers, cowboy poetry, square dancing, children’s activities, horseshoe-pitching contests, and an outdoor barbecue. Then join in a scavenger hunt throughout the museum to find clues about Wild West shows, and learn about the real story of Buffalo Bill.
Note: Visitors are encouraged to dress up in Western gear; however, guns, including replicas, will not be allowed on the premises.

Check out the celebrity vehicles from film and television, along with a display of legendary cars from the Petersen Automotive Museum collection and The World Famous West Coast Customs. With over 200 restored and pre-1974 vehicles, exotics, and hot rods everyone who loves cars will be sure to have a blast. Entertainment will include KCRW DJ Gary Calamar, live music, chalk artists and an awards ceremony for the coveted Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Downtown Burbank Car Classic will take place on San Fernando Boulevard from Burbank Town Center to the Holiday Inn. The Red Carpet Expo will be located on San Fernando Boulevard from Angeleno to Olive Avenue, with the Main Stage at San Fernando and Orange Grove Avenue.
