Campfire & Singalong & Marshmallow Roasting & Learn a Little Something
Is that title too long?
Over at Franklyn Canyon each and every Wednesday throughout the Summer months, the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy and associated agencies get families together in the amphitheater behind the Wildlife Education Center to get some learning done, sing some songs, and eat some sugar in the form of fluffy white marshmallow goodness. If your thing is to go the smore route, bring some chocolate and graham crackers and do that smore thing. They provide sticks and mallows, you do the rest.
Rangers are there to entertain and do a great job of leading adults and kids in an interactive conversation to help convey an understanding of how our mountains and the environment we share with our wildlife friends, works on a large and small scale, for better and for worse.
Leave your inhibitions home, because you are expected to sing-a-long and getting a little goofy is part of the fun.

Testimonial:
“It’s very interactive and I love how the have the tee-pee right next door so after the kids eat marshmallows they can go run around.”
