Live music, DJ, fresh foods, crafts and fashions are looking for a new home, so bring some cash, there’s cool stuff. There’s also an arts and craft area for the kids. Parking and admission are free for all (including pets) and true to the location, you can ride your horse here and wrangle on the spot.
Bring a picnic, bring a blanket, discover the artisans in the area or just join in a big community music and food fest.

Do your kids turn into unrecognizable spuds if you let them? Bring them to the beach, where they’ll want to move. Kids of all ages are encouraged to get physically active in the great outdoors. Rangers lead the activities, which consists of a physical fitness obstacle course. Bring $12 for parking, or you may be able to snag a spot on PCH.

On the weekend Santa Anita race track has a Family Fun Zone with a field full of activities for your little jockeys to enjoy, from inflatable jumpers, face painting and carnival games to pony rides, a chance to meet Seabiscuit and the Santa Anita Playground. Simi Valley Cajun & Blues Music Festival is an annual event hosted by The Rotary Club of Simi Sunrise to benefit both Cajun heritage and the people of Simi Valley and surrounding areas. The Festival currently presents live Cajun, Creole, Zydeco and Blues entertainment on multiple stages, offers more than 150 food, beverage, craft and sponsor booths, and attracts approximately 20,000 attendees. One hundred percent of all Festival profits are donated in support of charitable, educational and humanitarian causes.

With spectacular views, a splash pad, children’s play area, gallery, historic pool, and Marion Davies Guest House there’s something for everyone to enjoy at the Beach House, and it’s almost time for it to open for good this season! If this is too much for you, just stay home on the couch and wait for Winter. The pool is open Memorial Day Weekend from 10 a.m.-6 p.m., then it opens daily for the season on June 6.
Passes go on sale daily at 9:30 a.m. The pool is 4′ to 8′ deep, heated to 80-85 degrees and chlorinated. Towels and locks are not provided; bring your own.
